Grace Ministries would not be able to operate were it not for the compassionate generosity of others. The children whom we serve are destitute, and often have no family to care for them. No social services systems exist to pay for the programs and support efforts offered by Grace. Without donations from individuals and our Christian organization partners in the U.S., Limuru's slum children would be left to a life of misery on the streets.

Grace exists for the sole purpose of lifting these children out of an environment that breeds addiction, prostitution, and hopelessness-based hatred of all who have what they do not. We work to give them a safe and inspiring place to spend their days, and to instill knowledge, discipline, a love of learning, and basic Christian values. We also work to educate the people of Limuru, and especially the families of those slum children who are fortunate enough to still have a family, in the facts about HIV/AIDS and general health and medical issues.

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population.

 

Special Funding Request to Partners and Friends:

Dear friends and supporters, The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. It is one year since we were with you. We thank God for the way he used you to bless the children of Grace School with three nice classrooms, furniture and electricity.

Block B. Consists of 6 rooms: Staff room Standard 2,3,4,5 Store Block A: Consists of 3 rooms: Nursery class Standard one Office. Rented house: This is used as the Kitchen, Care takers house, and also the house for Pastor James, the Assistant Administrator.

NEED: In January 2006, the children in standard 5 will become standard 6. We do not have a room for them. The only option we have is to do the three remaining rooms on the level three on block B to create 3 more rooms. These will be used by standards 6,7, & 8. The set up of the building demands that three rooms are done together. COST: $ 5,000 (US) per classroom = $ 15,000 for the three classrooms. Our appeal is for financial help to build these classrooms. You are giving hope and dignity to these dear ones. “ What ever you did to these little ones, you did it unto me” – we long to hear these words from our God. Thank you for your continued support.
