Back to Current Journal

The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities – our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work – will help to bring you more closely into our world.

God bless you for your interest and your support!

4th WEEK ENDING 30TH JANUARY 2010

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
We thank the Lord that we are back again ready to work. We would like to kindly request for any well wisher who would like to give us donations for texts books to kindly do so. Thank you for the donor who donated some text books may God bless you Abundantly.
One thing I've learned is that you can't worry and praise at the same time.
You can't say, "I know youre on the throne, and youre good all the time. You always cause me to triumph. You make a way when there seems to be no way," and then worry and think, "I don't know how this is going to turn around."
Supernatural things will happen when we praise. Supernatural things do not happen when we worry. Worry does nothing but rob your joy.
You might feel like worrying is getting you somewhere, but it does nothing but zap your strength. We need our energy for the battles in life, and we need the knowledge of who God is during these difficulties to keep singing.
Thanking you in advance
God bless you

3rd WEEK ENDING 23TH JANUARY 2010

I usually like to start with how the week was and thanking the lord for everything he has done to us from morning till evening of every week. I enjoy doing what the lord has made me do and by the help of my work mates we excel in the Grace of the Lord.

The children are excited with the new classes and they continue to learn new things. We are happy because the class eight pupils who left last year were all qualified to join high school.

God has given us enough rain and our small garden which we plant vegetables is looking so beautiful with the green colour in it. The economy is bad but with the greens in the gardens people will be able to survive

In the Bible, Caleb helped lead the people of Israel into their Promised Land. But I love that Caleb didnt just stop there. When he was 80 years old, he said, God, give me another mountain. He was saying, God, give me something else to do. Give me another assignment. Notice, he was planning on living out his life in victory. He could have said, God, just let me retire. Man, my backs hurting. I can hardly see anymore. Medicare wouldnt pay that latest prescription. Im so aggravated. No, he was strong. He was energetic; he was ready for the next challenge.

Friend, no matter how old or how young you are, God has another assignment for you. You wouldnt be here if God didnt have a purpose for you. I believe that this next year is going to be your best ever. Make plans for the next victory. Make plans to increase in influence, abundance, and favor. Choose today to live full of joy, peace, strength, and health; and take a step of faith into the life of victory He has in store for you!

Thanking you in advance
God bless you
Carol

2nd WEEK ENDING 16TH JANUARY 2010

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present

We thank the Lord for what he has done to us so far. We have at least 16 new students who have come from various schools to join us. We are happy and praise the word of God. Our school garden has really helped us because we have enough kales, potatoes, carrots and cabbages that are used to make stew for the children and the staff at large. Though we waited along time for the rains we are happy but some in places homes have being destroried due to the heavy rains known as Elinino. So many people are homeless.

Yesterday we had tree planting day where the Prime minister, Ministers, Mp, diplomats and Citizens of Kenya in planting 20,000 tree seedlings to launch the Mau Forest rehabilitation. Mau forest is the largest indigenous forest in East Africa most vital water tower, covering 400,000 hectares. the colorful event was attended by many.

The solar Eclipse was witnessed by many.

We and the children watched the rare phenomenon with wonder. Many of us who had never witnessed the event we confused about the time because it was dark. The eclipse lasted for eight minutes.

Quote of the week

Achievement is largely the product of steadily raising one's levels of
aspiration and expectation

1st WEEK ENDING 9TH JANUARY 2010

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
We thank the Lord that we are back again ready to work. We would like to kindly request for any well wisher who would like to give us donations for texts books to kindly do so.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all
Occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.
You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.
Happy New Year

Quote of the week.
To succeed you need to find something to hold on to,
something to motivate you, something to inspire you

Thanking you in advance

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population. Thank you, in advance, for your compassionate support!
