The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

11th Week Ending 29th March 2008
This was a good week and very short. It was also very busy week. The weather was also very rainy as the long rains are now with us. At the beginning of the week we were still on our Easter break and we resumed back on Wednesday. On Monday night we had Samuel and Monica flying in from the States where they have been for a period of six weeks. We were more than happy to have them back as we had really missed them. Samuel is already back to a very tight schedule and he hasnt even rested after his trip. On Tuesday we went to the funeral of our secretary Miriam husband which was very emotional. We continue to pray for her that the lord will continue to strengthen her now and in the time to come. She is currently out of office and she will stay out a little bit longer for one more week. We resumed back on Wednesday the children were very happy to see Samuel back after a long time. They also were happy to have a long break as we extended the Easter break to be able to attend the funeral. The office was also busy finalizing on the registration of the final examination and we are happy we successfully did it today. We are now set for the exam as now we have done all that is required. The office also managed to pay the teachers salaries which take much of the schools budget. We are grateful for the availability of funds to facilitate the same. All the school activities went on well and the teachers are now busy preparing the children for the end of term exam which is only a week away. We continue to pray for our friends and Partners for their support and prayers. May the lord bless them. God Bless Lillian Nderitu Administrator

10th Week ending 22nd March 2008
This was a good week and also very short. The weather was good and we had heavy showers in the last two days. We however started the week on a very sad note as our school secretary lost her husband who was involved in a very grisly road accident and he passed on. We mourn with her at this moment of her loss. We knew her husband very well as we had helped prepare for their wedding which they just did in December on Christmas day. We pray to the lord to strengthen her at this very difficult time. The teachers will be attending the funeral service on Tuesday 25th March at their home place. The teachers are also making a generous contribution to help with the flowers and the photos. The school also breaks today for the Easter break and we will resume on Wednesday. We have however been able to acquire the registration papers for the class eight children we will register them for the main exam before the month ends. Reverend Sam and Monica will be back early next week and we are excited to have them back. It has been a very successful Programme for them and we thank the friends and their hosts for making it a success. The office has been very busy putting everything in place even in the absence of our secretary. The learning went on well and all the planned activities took place. The children cleaned their classes and they were excited to have the long Easter break. We wish all our friends and Partners a Happy Easter may the lord shower them with his blessings at this special time and may he arise in their hearts. The week ended early and successfully God Bless. 9th Week ending 15th of March 2008
This was a good and very busy week. The weather has continued to be quite warm with little rainfall yesterday. The children finished their continuous assessment tests on Friday last week and the teachers are busy marking. We will have an evaluation of the exam towards the end of the week. On Monday we had one of the children fall ill. She is Christine Wangui class four. She experienced some fits and we quickly rushed her to a nearby clinic for first aid help. She was later transferred to the hospital where she was admitted for a couple of days. The doctors took samples to establish what the problem was. We have been in touch with her parents who have by now gotten her out of the hospital and she is now recuperating at home. She will be back to school on Monday. The office has been quite busy as we tried to register our class eight children for the main exam. All the school activities took place as planned and we had no other incidents happening. Reverend Samuel and Monica are still in the US and they will hopefully be coming by the end of next week. We thank the lord for them and their successful Programme. The children cleaned their classroom and the day ended well.
God bless. Lillian Nderitu Administrator.

This was a good week, The weather was quite warm with little rain at the end of the week. Teaching went on well and the all school activities were carried on well. The children started their second Continuous Assessment Tests on Thursday. After the evaluation of the first CAT marks we hope there will be an improvement in performance. This week we also received a new child coming from the post election skirmishes hit areas, she is in class two. We are glad to be of help to her and her family. Though they were able to escape unhurt they have all the reason to thank God that they are alive. Their story is very moving we will cover their plight extensively at the end of the term in our termly newsletter. Reverend Samuel and Monica continue with their Programme in the US and we continually communicate with them. We also pray for them daily. The week ended well with no other incidents.
God bless. Lilian Nderitu Administrator

7th Week ending 1st March 2008.
This was good week. The weather was quite warm. This was a short week as we ran up to Thursday when we went for our midterm. The week ran smoothly, the continuous Assessment Tests done previously by the children were evaluated per subject and areas that need improvement will be looked into. The teachers cited areas that the children portrayed weakness and they promised to work on those areas. We are especially glad that the Gift of books given to the class eight children has really helped them as they are now very busy using them for study On Thursday the children cleaned their classes and were excited to break for two days. The finance office also paid the teachers salaries and we dont take it for granted that we got the money to pay. The teachers were happy to go for their break with a little money in their pockets Today (Monday) the children resumed school and they were happy to have a restful weekend. Reverend Samuel and Monica are still in the US and we are happy that their Programme is running well. We are happy with news they send us about their Programme which has so far been successful Politically with a deal signed by the two parties we are hopeful that things will improve. Please continue to visit our Website www.graceministries-limuru.org so as to see news updates of what is happening here at Grace School. The week ended well and there were no other incidents.
God bless! Lillian Nderitu. Administrator
