The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

12th WEEK ENDING 28TH MARCH 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present.
The week has being busy because it is the last week of the term and the student we sat for their exams and the teacher were busy preparing for their result even though the term was difficult the student performance was extremely good.
We give thanks to the lord because and every morning when I open my eyes, I tell myself that it is special. Every day, every minute and every breath is truly ... a gift.
It is with "much" love and appreciation that I dedicate these page to all of my "Earth Angels", my dear readers. Although they don't realize it, they have been ... and still are ... a true source of inspiration and enlightenment to us.
I once again appreciate all those who have fought the fight with us and have being with us all through the hard times that we have under gone. I friend of mine once told me that the secret of enjoying life is to be thankful for what each day brings. The school is closing on Tuesday you hear from us after we resume .
The quote of the week The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can become.
Thanking you in advance God bless you Carol

11th WEEK ENDING 21TH MARCH 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present.
Here at Grace School the situation is worsening one of the major challenges we are experiencing is in the feeding programme. We have had to make many adjustments in order to meet the demand mainly due to the high food prices and insufficient funds. We only hope that things will work out fine coz things are really hard here.
The term is almost ending we have only one week to go. This term has being the hardest of all. Famine in Kenya has hit everyone. There is no rain so no food in the gardens. We pray that God will give us rain. We have been truly blessed by the numerous words of kindness and encouragement that we have received from all of you. Your offers of friendship and love have brought us much happiness and have placed many smiles in our heart. We have been humbled by your awards and your gifts. The words, "Thank You," just don't seem like enough. You have "all" truly touched our life much more than I could ever say. The Quote of the day For without "crosses to carry" and "burdens to bear," We dance through a life that is frothy and fair; And "chasing the rainbow" we have no desire For "roads that are rough" and "realms that are higher." Thanking you in advance God bless you Carol

10th WEEK ENDING 14TH MARCH 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present. So often it seems that life is only made up of things to worry about. Life has many disappointments for all of us ... death, illnesses, betrayals, tragedies, and feelings of worthlessness and despair. Sometimes life can seem so very grim, and so many times we tend to wallow in pools of self-pity. I would just like to say again ... I believe that our time here on earth gives us the opportunity to grow spiritually. We can experience much personal growth because of all the suffering, worries, and difficulties we have to go through during our mortal lives. It is God's way of fine-tuning us so we become more compassionate, more caring, more loving, and more aware of others' pain. After all, how could we ever dry the tears of others if we had never cried ourselves? We all find ourselves in the valley of despair sometimes. It may sometimes seem that we are forever worrying, learning lessons, suffering pain, and facing challenges. But we must try to remember that the fertilizer that helps us "grow" is in those valleys, not on the mountain tops. I enjoy seeing the children recite poem, sing songs and be able to express themselves without any fear. These children know Grace School as their home. I pray that all will be well
Always remember this "This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good." Quote of the week.
Thanking You in advance God bless you Carol

9TH WEEK ENDING 7TH MARCH 2009
We progressed the week well with no incident taking place and for that we thank the lord. We at Grace School we would like to thank each and everyone who has been with us all through this term with your prayers we were able to support the children and the staff. We appreciate each moment.
The situation here at Grace School is hard we are pleading to any of the well wisher to come and assist as to be able to support the poor students who only know Grace School as their home. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Thank you for taking time to visit 'Grace Journal and when you leave, please take with you and always remember that. . . We as Grace School we will always appreciate what you as individual will do for as.
Thanking You in advance God bless you Carol

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population. Thank you, in advance, for your compassionate support!
