The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

16th WEEK ENDING 24TH APRIL 2009
The week was successive as we had planned it to be all the staffs who were supposed to attend were all present and the children. We are now taking a break for one week because the holiday tuition was only taking a duration of only two weeks. We will then resume for the next semester as from 4th May 2009 we hope to do better than last semester. Having joy or misery all depends on how we look at or think about it. It is in how we choose to look at the circumstances. We can look for the flowers or just see the weeds. We can see the bright side or look for the clouds. How we look at life can either bring a sparkle of joy or a handful of gloom. We can be as happy as we decide to be. There are so many that don't realize that the value of our lives is best measured not by the worldly possessions we've acquired, but rather by the wisdom we share, the hope we inspire, the tears we wipe, and the hearts we touch. The happiness and lasting contentment we get in our lives are not to be found in what "we have," but rather in what "we are." Everything we do affects not only our own life, but it touches others, too. The quote of the week Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

15th WEEK ENDING 17TH MARCH 2009
The week progressed well we resumed on 14th after a one week break. The children usually come back for holiday tuition to be helped by their teachers where they didnt understand and try to complete the syllabus. I will admit that there have been many dark days during our lifetime that we had to really search for His hand. Sometimes it would take a very long time, but somehow, we always managed to find it. God has always had a lot of patience with us and we know He loves us just as He does everyone else. I also believe that our different experiences will usually leave some sort of impact on the world around us. Other lives can be touched as a result of our responses to these traumas we go through. If we accept these things as the "Will of God," our lives can be enriched to reach out or to touch other lives with more sensitivity, compassion, and a deeper understanding. You cannot dry the tears of others who weep unless you have cried yourself. The quote of the week Memories are treasures Time cannot take away, So may you be surrounded By happy ones today. These are our children in the Dinning Hall, and this is when we are closing school so the children were very excited to go home and rest for the 3 months that they have before being back in school. We thank the Lord for everything and especially for the rainy season that has just begun.
Grace pupils and teachers seated in the Dining Hall.
This is where the children were in the Dining Hall. The children had to move the desks and seats in to place so that they could sit in them. We appeal for any well wisher to assist us to be able to furnish the Dinning hall so that the children will not have to move their desks and chairs. I know that we will be able to furnish the hall with your help.
All desks and seats have been relocated from the Dining Hall.
Thank you for the ones the Lord has touched and who have responded to our cry. It is a tough battle doing ministry in our center but the battle belongs to the Lord.
Have a happy Easter from all of us here.
Thanking you in advance
Carol

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population. Thank you, in advance, for your compassionate support!
