The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

4th WEEK ENDING 30TH MAY 2009
I usually like to start with how the week was and thanking the lord for everything he has done to us from morning till evening of every week. I enjoy doing what the lord has made me do and by the help of my work mates we excel in the Grace of the Lord.
This week the children had their exams for the end of the month. There are examined by their teachers after every month for the topics that they have covered. By doing that the teachers are able to know the weak side of each child.
God has given us enough rain and our small garden which we plant vegetables is looking so beautiful with the green colour in it. The economy is bad but with the greens in the gardens people will be able to survive.
I would like to thank some of the donors who were able to help a student and paid school fees for her. We are really grateful for what you did because you helped a needy child lifes.
I find a tremendous amount of meaning in this little verse. Life really does seem to be so full of "knots" and "loops." It can sometimes be filled with much sadness, disappointments and difficulties. But we should all try to remember that it is all those hard times that builds strength and character in us. Every "loop" and "knot" can become a learning experience. Every experience we have has a meaning or a purpose, and life on earth is made up of many meaningful experiences. That is the way God planned it. We might find it very difficult sometimes to accept God's judgement and are unable to understand what all the "knots" and "loops" represent, but God does know what He is doing and we have to really try to keep our faith in Him and to totally trust Him. The quote of the week You owe it to yourself to be the best you can possibly be

3rd WEEK ENDING 23TH MAY 2009
The week progressed well we started our duties as usual but most of us fell sick. Due to the conditional weather change which is there most of us are really sick but with time we will be able to bear with the condition for the next couple of months that are due.
The school is doing well with the help of the donors we are able to buy food which will be able to be enough for the children well as the staff included. We always like to thank the Lord for what he has done for us and without people like you we would not be able to handle such situations.
We are living in hard times the economy is in such a mess the prices are high in everything people want but we still have to survive for the future. We are hoping that soon the budget is read everything will be okey.
There are so many people whose hearts seem to be so very heavy and need to be filled up with hope. There are hearts that have been squashed down, stomped on, flattened out from lack of care or from thoughtless deeds done to them, or are shriveled and dying from lack of encouragement. It brings me much happiness to share a few words with those hurting hearts that will hopefully help bring a little bit of comfort or meaning into their lives. The quote of the week You do not have to give up on what ever it is you are doing God Bless Carol Muturi

2nd WEEK ENDING 16TH MAY 2009
We resumed on Monday after the weekend was over people went to church for thanks giving. This week has a lot of blessing the Lord has given as the rain and people are now planting food. Now the land is green again as usually it was before the drought and famine started but I know that God wanted us as human beings to learn a lesson and we surely did learn the hard way.
For us here at school the curriculum is going on as usual the student are really working hard as well as the teachers who are encouraging them so much we are really proud of them.
We thank the Lord for healing our director who fell sick on the night of 13th after an attack but he was rushed to the hospital and there he regained his conscious he is now well and back to work as usual. There is much pleasure to be found in the power of kindness. It is one of the most difficult things to give away because it is almost always returned to us. When we bring sunshine into the lives of others, we're warmed by it ourselves. When we spill a little happiness, it splashes on us. It makes us feel good inside because showing kindness to others is what will bring enjoyment and happiness back to us. The quote of the week Life is a succession of lessons, which must be lived to be understood. God Bless Carol Muturi

1ST WEEK ENDING 9TH MAY 2009
The week was successive and we would like to thank the Lord for everything that he has done for us being together again is a miracle. The second semester started on Monday 4th May. the semester will be the longest of all because it has 14 weeks but we know that we will be able to complete the required syllabus as the per semester.
We are greatful for everyone who has in one time helped us and we hope you will still continue in doing so and we also thank those new Godly people who have being touched by our cry of helping the needy children when I think of the goodness you people show towards us Iam in tears . Is not the size of the action that is important, but the difference that a small action makes. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The quote of the week Life in abundance comes only through great love God Bless Carol Muturi
