The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

12TH WEEK ENDING 25TH JULY 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present.
We thank the Lord because he gave us rain yesterday now people are in their garden planting. We have come to the end of this Term which is due on 4th of August and we would like to thank all the donors for what youve done.
The situation here in our country is worsen because people are stuffing others are even eating monkeys. We have that fear because you cant even buy meat because you dont know it comes from where. Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control. Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born. This leaves only one day, Today. Any person can fight the battle of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down. It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad, it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring. The quote of the week "A life watered by the tears of tragedy and suffering Often becomes the most fertile soil for spiritual growth." God Bless Carol Muturi

11TH WEEK ENDING 18TH JULY 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
The climate is kinda funny here because it keeps changing gradually but all in all we are doing well. I never get tired of thanking each and everyone who has and will continue supporting Grace School. We really appreciate what you people are doing for us. We can see that you are always thinking of Grace School despite of what happened early. But all in all in life we must have some of the challenges of life so that we can be able to be strong and be able to cope with life.
We have received gifts from various people this week and may the hand that gives receives double. Sometimes life seems hard to bear, full of sorrow, trouble and woe, its then I have to remember that it's in the valleys I grow. If I always stayed on the mountain top and never experienced pain, I would never appreciate God's love, and would be living in vain. I have so much to learn,And my growth is very slow, Sometimes I need the mountain tops, But it's in the valleys I grow. I do not always understand why things happen as they do, but I am very sure of one thing ...My Lord will see me through. My little valleys are nothing when I picture Christ on the cross He went through the valley of death; His victory was Satan's loss. Continue to strengthen me Lord, and use my life each day, To share your love with others And help them find their way. Thank you for valleys Lord, for this one thing I know ... The mountain tops are glorious, But it's in the valleys I grow! The quote of the week Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.

10TH WEEK ENDING 11TH JULY 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
The week was extremely cold people have to wear warm clothing to go to work and school. We are happy because we admitted a new children to our school. The number of the children is increasing despite the problem that we are facing.
We would like once again to appeal to our donors to please continue helping us. We need to help from you guys. And I know that all will be well one day we will be singing a song of joy.
You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to discard the doctrines and values you've outgrown, or should never have bought into to begin with and in the process, you learn to go with your instincts. That it is truly in giving that we receive and that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you stop maneuvering through life merely as a "consumer" looking for your next fix. Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it. The quote of the week Your attitude determines the altitude that you scale. Impossible! Is for those who fail to persist, failure while possible!! Is for those who never give up, successful. Do you see barriers in your way or do you see stairs?

9TH WEEK ENDING 4TH JULY 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present.
The school is doing well with the help of the donors we are able to buy food which will be able to be enough for the children as well as the staff included. We always like to thank the Lord for what he has done for us and without people like you we would not be able to handle such situations.
The school garden has produced a lot of food stuff also. We have a lot of potatoes, cabbages and cucumbers. We thank the Lord because of the rains. The season is usually cold and we usually dress like Eskimos.
The children had they end of month exams we call it CAT continuous assessment Test for the topics that they have covered. By doing that the teachers are able to know the weak side of each child. I have been doubly-blessed with some very special and precious "gifts of the heart," and I'm at a complete loss for words to describe how these gifts have really touched me. The only thing I can say, for sure, is that the generosity and kindness of people, that I didn't even know before now, has brought tears to my eyes and has truly filled my heart to overflowing. Ten thousand words wouldn't even begin to be enough to describe the heartfelt thanks I feel. God Bless Carol Muturi

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population. Thank you, in advance, for your compassionate support!
