Back to Current Journal

The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities – our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work – will help to bring you more closely into our world.

God bless you for your interest and your support!

END OF AUGUST HOLIDAY TUITION

The holiday tuition has progressed well for two weeks which ends today.

I would like to thank the Lord for he has given mi this day to be alive to thank each and everyone who has been with us through the term.
To all our friends who at one time helped us to raise the money for the stoves, food and also staff salary. We can never ever be able to pay you for what youve done. Thank you.

As we end the second term we would also like you to kindly continue with the support as we start the next term.

"Life is like a tapestry. The bottom faces the earth and the top faces heavenward. God can see the beauty of the work He is doing and the picture as it is completed. All that we on earth can see are the knots and loops on the back side. When we get to heaven, we can then look down on the tapestry and see it all complete and it will be very beautiful. It takes faith in Christ to be able to live with the knots down here."
I find a tremendous amount of meaning in this little verse. Life really does seem to be so full of "knots" and "loops." It can sometimes be filled with much sadness, disappointments and difficulties. But we should all try to remember that it is all those hard times that builds strength and character in us. Every "loop" and "knot" can become a learning experience. Every experience we have has a meaning or a purpose, and life on earth is made up of many meaningful experiences. That is the way God planned it.

The quote of the week
One tree can start a forest, one smile can start a friendship. One touch can show you care, one friend can make life worth living for.

13TH &14th; WEEK ENDING 4TH AUGUST 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present.

The 13th week was busy week. This was the week that the children were preparing to do their end of term exam. The exam shows the performance of each child and what he has learnt all through the term. The children did their exams on Thursday and Friday and they really performed well. Most of the children increased their marks ( Grade).

The 14th week we are closing today 4th of August till 7th of September.
We usually have a break of two weeks and then come back for tuition from grade 4 to 8. We will resume on 10th next week for tuition. This helps the children to come and be assisted by their teachers and revise the exams paper that they did.

I would like to give thanks to the Lord and to all our friends out there who have been with us all through. Thank so much. The term could not have been complete without your support and prayers.
I would like to pledge to you to please continue with the same spirit of helping hand God help you in so doing thank you.

You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to discard the doctrines and values you've outgrown, or should never have bought into to begin with and in the process, you learn to go with your instincts. That it is truly in giving that we receive and that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you stop maneuvering through life merely as a "consumer" looking for your next fix. Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it.

The quote of the week
I've found that often, just when you think you've hit a wall, you experience
a breakthrough that takes you to new heights in accomplishment

God Bless
