The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

3RD WEEK ENDING 20TH SEPTEMBER 2008 This was a hard week for Grace School. It was a time of grief after losing one of our own. Vivian Waithera a nursery school pupil lost her battle with HIV/AIDS on 11th September 2008. On Tuesday the 16th she was raid to rest. The school was off for that day as all the pupils and teachers attended Vivian's burial to bid her final farewell.
Grace pupils and teachers attended Vivian's burial. Lessons resumed on Wednesday and have continued well by the grace of God. The head teacher, Jane, attended a district education day in a neighboring school on Friday, the 19th. Construction on the unfinished dinning hall/ kitchen resumed in the week with burglar proofs rods being added to the windows and plastering taking place.

2ND WEEK ENDING 13TH SEPTEMBER 2008 The week started well without any incidents. All the students and teachers have been continuing with learning and teaching respectively. The weather has been alternating between cold and sunny but has not interfered with the normal activities. However Grace School experienced a dark moment on the morning of 12th after we received the sad news of passing away of Vivian Waithera one of our nursery school students. She had been ailing but her condition deteriorated yesterday before being taken to hospital by her father but passed on while undergoing treatment. Two teachers already visited the family to console them and learn of funeral arrangements for our participation. God bless

1ST WEEK ENDING 6TH SEPTEMBER 2008
Welcome back to our weekly journals. The new school term started on 1st of September after a break of three weeks. However there were remedial classes for two weeks for the weak students in lower classes and all students in the upper classes. All the students and teachers reported back and we thank God for good health.
The week started well without a hitch and learning resumed promptly. This being the last term to end the year both teachers and students are enthusiastic and are set out to achieve the best results as this will see students moving on to the next class.
During the holiday we experienced grief as some two parents with children at Grace School passed away. We took time to visit the families and console them and also attended the burial.
The affected students are back and are being helped go through the grieving process in order to continue normally with their studies. We look forward to a successful term. God bless.
