Back to Current Journal

The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities – our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work – will help to bring you more closely into our world.

God bless you for your interest and your support!

2nd WEEK ENDING 1TH SEPTEMBER 2009

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present

We are experiencing drought and famine here in Kenya. People are borrowing funds and food from the government. We can see cows dieing and also people and all this is a result of all what happened after the 2008 December elections.

The spread of swine flu is now in our capital city where a school was closed down due to 19 students with swine flu. When all this happens we are able to go closer to God and ask for forgiveness of all what we have done. But we thank the Lord that Grace School has not been affected by any of these. God bless each and everyone of you our donors for the great work that you have done.
The reality of our lives may result from many outside factors, none of which we can control. The only thing we can really control in this life is our own mental attitudes. We should try to remember that all we are dealing with is thoughts, and thoughts can be changed. We may not have control over our circumstances, but we do have control over our thoughts and we can choose how we will respond to the things that happen to us.
We all have unlimited choices about what we can think. The things we think become the truth for us. Our subconscious minds will accept whatever we choose to believe. There is no person, no place and no thing that has any power over us, for "we" are the only thinkers in our mind. Things seem to turn out best for those people who can make the best out of the way things turn out. It is not the situation ... it is our reactions to the situation.

The quote of the week
It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity

God Bless

1st WEEK ENDING 12TH SEPTEMBER 2009

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present

We resumed back on Monday after the holiday. We thank the lord for the time we were away because he protected us. I also like to give thanks to all our friends that contributed in the stove project and other things that we needed thank so much.

We received the news of Rev Marc demise with great shock he has being a great friend of Grace School. I also like to thank him for what he said towards the funds God rest his soul in peace.

Peace and freedom in the sky where never again will he suffer or cry. It's all part of God's great plan ...Which remains a mystery to man. We cannot understand His ways nor can we count our earthly days. But who are we to question and doubt? God knoweth well what He's about; He knew he longed to "go to sleep" Where only angels, a vigil keep. The pain of living grew too great No longer could he stay and wait;he did not want to leave you,
But he had finished his work down here. So he closed his eyes and when he awoke,These are the words the Master spoke ..."Welcome, dear child, you are Home at last,And now the burden of living is past." "There's work for you in My Kingdom, dear And you are needed and wanted here."
So weep not, he has just gone on ahead,Don't think of him as being dead.

The quote of the week
You got to stay strong to be strong

God Bless
