The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

8th Week ending 26th October 2007.
This was a good week. The rains are again here with us. The children came to school after a long weekend and with a lot of the stories of what they had seen from the trip. The office had one big relief after accomplishing one of the main events in our school calendar which was the school trip. It was very successful. The children are back to their classroom busy awaiting the end of month exams which will be held next week. All is in place in readiness for the Tests. All school related activities went on well throughout the week with no major incidents. We thank God for his provisions and care for us.

7th Week Ending 20th , October 2007
This was a good week.
The weather has continued to be quite warm.
It was one of the most exciting weeks for the children as they were going for their school trip. On Tuesday we visited Dickson Macharia in class three at their home and he is recuperating after an operation on Friday.
On Thursday 18th October 2007 the younger children Nursery to class three went for their trip and they visited the National parks and they also went the Bomas of Kenya where they were entertained with traditional dances and acrobatics. They successfully visited all parks as planned and they were very happy as some of them have never even visited the town.
On Friday 19th October 2007 the older children from class four to class seven visited historic sites like Kariandusi Diatomite mining plant, the Menengai Crater where the land was separated into two one part going up and another down due to a volcanic eruption. We finally visited the Lake Nakuru National Park where the children saw wild animals at close range and the lake as well.
We had a safe journey to all this destinations and we thank God for that and we don't take it for granted. We would like to thank the Central Baptist church-Bearden most graciously for making this school trips possible for all the children at Grace School. The children got an opportunity they have never had in their lives and we thank all the friends and sponsors who put a smile on all the children's faces on this two days.
The following pictures were taken for the older children who visited historic sites and the Lake Nakuru National park:
The following photos were taken for the younger children as the left to visit the parks and at the Bomas of Kenya:
More photos will be sent in our website.
The week ended well and we thank the lord for his provisions and special way of meeting us at our very point of need as he did for us during the school trip. A more comprehensive report will be sent to the church members of Central Baptist Church Bearden.
The week ended well!
Be blessed.

6th week ending 13th October 2007.
This was a good week! The weather has continued to be warm and with intervals of rain in between the week. All school related activities went on well as planned. We had a break on Wednesday as it was a public holiday and the children got to rest. Again we also have a public holiday on Saturday so the children will not come for the extra remedial teaching on that day. The year is almost gone and we continue to pray to the lord to provide for us funds for completion of our Dining hall that is still awaiting roofing and interior finishing. The children are also studying hard as this is the term they do their end of year exams to qualify them for the next grade. The teachers are also busy teaching and preparing them for that. There were no other incidents and the term seems to be running fine and we thank the lord for that. The week ended well.

5th Week Ending 6th October 2007
This was a good week! The weather has continued to be quite warm. The continuous examinations done last week have finally been marked and analyzed and the performance of all classes was quite impressive though there is still room for improvement. This week we sent a Christmas appeal to most of our friends and partners. Christmas is around the corner and this time we wish to reach out to the parents and siblings of the children we have at Grace School. We also want encourage the spirit of sharing among our children. We hope to get positive response to our appeal so that we can make a difference during this Christmas. We also received our inspection report from the District Education officer which commended our work. All school related activities continued well and there were no other incidents. The week ended well God bless!
