The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work will help to bring you more closely into our world.
God bless you for your interest and your support!

7th WEEK ENDING 24th OCTOBER 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
Last weekend as l had earlier mentioned to you that our children had gone for a fun day, they managed to come back with some gift vouchers which they won after participating. One child won a gift voucher of 28.6 dollars to buy books. The school voucher was 71.43 dollars we bought text books and now the children are really happy about it. We thank the Lord for everything that we have passed through because it has really being tough.
The class eight children have only two week to cover up what theyve being doing and we hope that God will help them as they prepare for the Examination. It's only the beginning now, A pathway yet unknown; at times the sound of other steps ...Sometimes we walk alone. The best beginnings of our lives May sometimes end in sorrow; But even on our darkest days ...The sun will shine tomorrow.
So we must do our very best whatever life may bring, and look beyond the winter chill ...To smell the breath of spring. Into each life will always come a time to start anew; a new beginning for each heart ...As fresh as morning dew?
Although the cares of life are great and heads are bowed so low, the storms of life will leave behind ...The wonder of a rainbow. The years will never take away our chance to start anew; its only the beginning now So Dreams can still come true
The quote of the week I move forward in my life every day, even if it's only a tiny step, because I know that great things are accomplished with tiny moves, but nothing is accomplished by standing still God Bless Carol Muturi

6th WEEK ENDING 17th OCTOBER 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present We would like to thank the Lord for the long awaited rain which is now here. People are happy now because hunger and drought will be history. The school garden is well prepared for planting. We do not want to suffer again. The class seven were traveling today to participate in a fun day with a club known as chill club. The children are taught how to behave and to relate with the world. The reality of our lives may result from many outside factors, none of which we can control. The only thing we can really control in this life is our own mental attitudes. We should try to remember that all we are dealing with is thoughts, and thoughts can be changed. We may not have control over our circumstances, but we do have control over our thoughts and we can choose how we will respond to the things that happen to us. We all have unlimited choices about what we can think. The things we think become the truth for us. Our subconscious minds will accept whatever we choose to believe. There is no person, no place and no thing that has any power over us, for "we" are the only thinkers in our mind. Things seem to turn out best for those people who can make the best out of the way things turn out. It is not the situation ... it is our reactions to the situation. The quote of the week I've found that often, just when you think you've hit a wall, you experience a breakthrough that takes you to new heights in accomplishment

4th WEEK ENDING 3rd OCTOBER 2009
I usually like to start with how the week was and thanking the lord for everything he has done to us from morning till evening of every week. I enjoy doing what the lord has made me do and by the help of my work mates we excel in the Grace of the Lord.
This week the children had their exams for the end of the month. There are examined by their teachers after every month for the topics that they have covered. By doing that the teachers are able to know the weak side of each child.
It is so dry and we need rain so that the food in the garden can grow. "Life is like a tapestry. The bottom faces the earth and the top faces heavenward. God can see the beauty of the work He is doing and the picture as it is completed. All that we on earth can see are the knots and loops on the back side. When we get to heaven, we can then look down on the tapestry and see it all complete and it will be very beautiful. It takes faith in Christ to be able to live with the knots down here." The quote of the week Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, It is the only thing that ever has. God Bless Carol Muturi
5th WEEK ENDING 9th OCTOBER 2009 The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
We are kindly appealing for more donors who can really help us to furnish our dining hall. We that it will rain heavily and we cant eat outside during that time and we would like to have a secure place. You do not have to give up on what ever it is you are doing. You could be having a hard time starting a business, restoring a broken marriage (or relationship) or trying to cope with the loss of a loved one. If you believe in your heart than you can make it then there is nothing that can stop you. The truth is, you were not born to fail, you were not made to be a loser in anyway. We do fail sometimes and we do lose some battles but this is because we allow the dark side to take over. We start to think negative and it is through those emotions that we lose and fail. One of the best ways to deal with this is to get hold of some encouragement words. Some of the things that discourage us at times are too insignificant to even allow them to determine our destiny. I do understand that at times it can be a situation that is beyond your control. What ever it may be, try to exercise some patience and look forward to another day. Do not make decisions when you are most vulnerable because you might regret them later on.
The quote of the week It may be those who do most, dream most.

3rd WEEK ENDING 26TH SEPTEMBER 2009
The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
Having joy or misery all depends on how we look at or think about it. It is in how we choose to look at the circumstances. We can look for the flowers or just see the weeds. We can see the bright side or look for the clouds. How we look at life can either bring a sparkle of joy or a handful of gloom. We can be as happy as we decide to be. There are so many that don't realize that the value of our lives is best measured not by the worldly possessions we've acquired, but rather by the wisdom we share, the hope we inspire, the tears we wipe, and the hearts we touch. The happiness and lasting contentment we get in our lives are not to be found in what "we have," but rather in what "we are." Everything we do affects not only our own life, but it touches others, too. God Bless Carol Muturi

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population. Thank you, in advance, for your compassionate support!
