The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities – our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work – will help to bring you more closely into our world.

God bless you for your interest and your support!

11th & 12th WEEK ENDING 21st November 2009

The week was wonderful only a few of us came to school because the children were preparing themselves to do the exams.
The children started the exams on Thursday and Friday and some of the them have performed very well. We thank the Lord so much because he has being with us all the way.
It's only the beginning now, A pathway yet unknown; at times the sound of other steps ...Sometimes we walk alone. The best beginnings of our lives May sometimes end in sorrow; But even on our darkest days ...The sun will shine tomorrow.

So we must do our very best whatever life may bring, and look beyond the winter chill ...To smell the breath of spring. Into each life will always come a time to start anew; a new beginning for each heart ...As fresh as morning dew?
Although the cares of life are great and heads are bowed so low, the storms of life will leave behind ...The wonder of a rainbow. The years will never take away our chance to start anew; its only the beginning now So Dreams can still come true
To day we are closing school and we would like to thank all the donors who have continued with us.
Be Happy all the being, let us embrace the peace that the holy lamb has brought to us. To you who have made my x-mass happy and joyful, lots of love, and to your mom also. God bless you so much. As we all celebrate, let us make sure that those around us also share our joy and love. Be there for needy persons and you will made a difference. Love you very much.

HAVE A WONDERFUL XMAS

8th WEEK ENDING 31th OCTOBER 2009

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present
So often it seems that life is only made up of things to worry about. Life has many disappointments for all of us ... death, illnesses, betrayals, tragedies, and feelings of worthlessness and despair. Sometimes life can seem so very grim, and so many times we tend to wallow in pools of self-pity.
I would just like to say again ... I believe that our time here on earth gives us the opportunity to grow spiritually. We can experience much personal growth because of all the suffering, worries, and difficulties we have to go through during our mortal lives. It is God's way of fine-tuning us so we become more compassionate, more caring, more loving, and more aware of others' pain. After all, how could we ever dry the tears of others if we had never cried ourselves?
We all find ourselves in the valley of despair sometimes. It may sometimes seem that we are forever worrying, learning lessons, suffering pain, and facing challenges. But we must try to remember that the fertilizer that helps us "grow" is in those valleys, not on the mountain tops.
I enjoy seeing the children recite poem, sing songs and be able to express themselves without any fear. These children know Grace School as their home. I pray that all will be well

Always remember this
"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good." Quote of the week.

Thanking You in advance
God bless you
Carol

9th WEEK ENDING 7th OCTOBER 2009

The week has progressed well with no major incidents and we thank the lord for that. All the teachers, pupils and staffs were present

The children had to sit for their exams for the end of the month. The class 8 children were preparing for the last exam which will determine what theyve being doing for the last 8 years in school. The result will be out in December. We thank the lord for the time that we have being with them and we wish them success in everything they do.
On Friday we had prayers day for them and we had invited their parents and an entertainment group to educate them and spread the message about life. We also had a preacher who conducted prayers and also the director and his family were all there. We thank the lord for that. Even though we never had anything to give them we enjoyed the day.
On Saturday we attended a wedding for class eight teacher Keziah and the wedding was good.
There is no oil without squeezing the olives No wine without pressing the grapes, No fragrance without crushing the flowers, and no real joy without sorrow.
If you want to see the rainbow ...You have to put up with the rain!
Some days you're the pigeon ...Some days you're the statue!
Quote of the week.
Goals are like stepping-stones to the stars.
They should never be used to put a ceiling or a limit on achievement

Thanking You in advance
God bless you
Carol
