Grace Journal

March, 2012
  Previous Journal Chapters

The Grace Journal is a place where Rev. Wambugu, and perhaps occasionally others of the Grace Ministries staff, will summarize the work of the day or week. We want you to feel that you are an active part of our work and our lives, and hope that this on-going journal of our activities – our joys, our sorrows, and our day-to-day work – will help to bring you more closely into our world.

God bless you for your interest and your support!

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It has taken the hand of God to see us this far. We have seen 10 out of 15 weeks of the term pass, a thing we can not take for granted. Surely Gods goodness prevails in our midst. His name should be praised by all.

A number of activities have taken place for the last one week in our school. We had a meeting with parents on registration of candidates for the National examinations that will be held later in the year.

Teachers assisted the parents in the exercise which also involved selection of secondary schools that the pupils may wish to go after completing the primary course. The registration exercise will be done online and the school is happy to have the facility to do so without going to the cyber café; thanks to our friends who made it possible. It would have been costly and inconvenient without it.

Pupils sat for the second Continuous assessment test in the year. Much improvement was noted from the first test that was done in January. They will be sitting for the third and final test of the term in early April. We hope to reward the best pupils per class by issuing small gifts. This will motivate them to work even harder when the second term begins in May.

There was a sad moment for our immediate neighbors whose house was brought down by fire in broad daylight. Nobody was physically injured but it was not possible to salvage anything. A pupil from our school was almost a victim but thanks to quick response by the local authority, they were able to prevent the fire from spreading further.

We look forward for a more blessed moment. Please continue to pray for us. You have been our friend and partner. Always remain. Thank you.

Please know that your donation can help, not only to save the life of a child in Limuru, but to guide that life in such a way as to loosen the stranglehold of despair and death that threatens so much of Kenya's population. Thank you, in advance, for your compassionate support!
