The Ministries of Grace
Grace Ministries goal is to provide quality education to the children of Limuru's slums, and through its involvement with these children, to offer to their families basic medical and social services and an introduction to simple Christian concepts.
The centerpiece of Grace's efforts is Grace School. Founded in 1997 as a means of keeping the children of Limuru's poorest families off the streets, our school has evolved into a highly respected school which draws praise from both government and private sectors. With a full academic curriculum and program hours and features that surpass those of Kenya's overburdened public schools, Grace stands out in the manner that it addresses the physical, mental and spiritual needs of its students.
To say that HIV/AIDS is the most pressing problem for the African continent is, at best, an understatement – the toll of this disease in Kenya, as in other African countries, is staggering.
Grace provides HIV/AIDS awareness and education to Grace School students and to the people of Limuru.
Every day, Grace Ministries faces the reality of families that are racked with hunger, illness and death. Operating as we do in the slums of Limuru, our children bring the sadness and desperation of their lives to us with the coming of each new day. We try to assist them with in-home medical aid, food, prayer and counseling.
