Some of the Limuru Children that we serve - toys are improvised, when they can be found at all.
Dressed in tattered and torn clothing that mirrors their troubled lives, the children of Limuru's slums try to find their way through a world that offers little happiness or hope for the future.
They are Grace Ministries' reason for being.
Our students receive a conprehensive education. Here, one of our instructors (Nelly) is teaching English to a STD. III class.
Rev, Samuel Wambugu helping young Gladys grieve the death of her mother due to AIDS. But for the intervention of Grace Ministries, Gladys' life might well meet the same end as her mother's.
All are welcome at Grace School - even camels come to visit!
The children of Grace School, having fun posing for the camera.
Rev. Wambugu comforts Mohamed and Fatuma as he conducts the funeral of their mother - another vistim of AIDS. The twins, students of Grace School, were left in the care of an Aunt who also died in December, 2003 from AIDS.
Seven months after their mother's death, Grace School has helped Fatuma, second from left, and Mohamed, far right, cope with life after her passing. Their hands are being held high in playful happiness by Grace student Clinton Karanja ... with little Steve Mugambi joining in by holding Fatuma's other hand.
Thank you for your prayers and gifts!
